The venerable Mahon Hall (1901) is the headquarters of Salt Spring Arts and the Artcraft Gallery, in Ganges village, on Salt Spring Island. Salt Spring Arts plays a key role in the local arts and culture scene and showcases the artwork of Gulf Islands artists. Including the indigenous artwork of the Elliot family – Charles Elliott, Myrna Crossley, Matthew Parlby-Elliott and Chazz Elliott. The four artists are members of the Tsarlip First Nations.

The Salt Spring Arts Council (Est. 1968) is a registered BC non-profit society that fosters arts and culture programs that connect artists and community.
